Year 2015 was the beginning of what is known today as one of the largest annual bazaar events in all of Rochester Hills and its neighboring communities -- with proceeds benefiting the Rochester High School Athletic Program(s). Event Coordinator, Patty Schattler, recently announced its 3rd Annual Holiday Bazaar which will be held on Saturday, November 4th at the Rochester High School from 10am-3pm expected to bring in even more guests from last year -- over 1,400 expected!
This year's holiday bazaar takes on the theme of an olde fashioned Christmas offering a truly unique shopping experience with the sights and sounds of carolers and instrumentals to get you in the holiday spirit! The bazaar will host 150 artists, small business owners, and direct sale vendors from all over Michigan and Ohio.
MacKellar Associates, Inc., is the local business acting as a sponsor this year. Schattler’s search for a sponsor was to look no further than the one chosen – MacKellar is a 4th generation business that is a staple to the Rochester area and have always given back to the schools and surrounding community.
Raffle (50/50) tickets will be available for $1 and open to all guests. Those guests purchasing their bazaar tickets online will have their names entered in a drawing for a chance to win a Falcons custom-made blanket by The Blanket Lady, a division of MacKellar Associates, Inc. (value $68), or a specialty item from one of the donating artists!
Supporting "Blessings in a Backpack" was an idea Schattler had as its efforts are near and dear to the Rochester community's heart. The Community Foundation of Greater Rochester is the fiscal sponsor for Blessings in a Backpack Michigan, and six schools within the Rochester and Rochester Hills Community Schools are partners with the program.
"We would like guests to support Blessings in a Backpack by bringing a canned good, a new pair of socks, or a toiletry item," stated Schattler. "As a thank you, those guests will receive one (1) free 50/50 raffle ticket."
In addition, MacKellar, will be distributing a free gift to the first 75 shoppers that purchased tickets online and/or first in line! Tickets can be purchased at the door but encouraged to order online at www.eventbrite.com. As an online guest, you will also be given the "early bird pass" to shop one hour before the general public arrives at 10am.
This is one holiday, olde fashioned shopping experience you don't want to miss -- join us at Rochester High School, 180 S. Livernois, Rochester Hills, MI.
